Parentsportal.scot is a new digital service to help replace the traditional ‘school bag run’ by providing direct communication to parents and carers through a growing suite of online services. Through parentsportal.scot parents and carers will be able to grant permissions for school trips, view school lunch menus, view attendance, complete the annual data check, book parents evening and link directly to ParentPay to make payment for school meals, to name but a few.

2023 Update:
Happy New Year to our Park View community! We hope everyone had a lovely, peaceful break at home over the festive period. We have a very exciting year ahead and we were happy to welcome everyone back this morning and see their smiling faces!
We have some staffing changes that I would like to inform you of. Ideally, I would have been able to do this prior to the Christmas holidays but unfortunately our personnel department were unable to confirm staffing to us at that point. It looks like a lot of change but please rest assured this has been well thought out. Our plan is to ensure minimal impact and continue our well-planned support and challenge groups that we have for maths and literacy, and also continue with the health and wellbeing supports that we currently run.
Some of you may know that Mrs Gray in P5/6 has now started her maternity leave and we look forward to hearing about her new arrival soon! To take over from her, we have welcomed Miss Bowie who will work alongside Mr Garrett who already has everything under control and will be a great support to Miss Bowie allowing for a smooth transition. She will fully undertake all duties from Mrs Gray and continue with the support groups that Mrs Gray had up and running. Our top priority is to ensure all children's needs continue to be met, with minimal impact because of staffing changes.
Mrs McNeil in P4 will also be going off on maternity leave soon. Mrs Longmuir and Mrs Morley will job share the P4 class once Mrs McNeil goes off on maternity leave. Both are highly skilled teachers with a lot of experience in Park View and already know the P4 pupils well; therefore, we can guarantee a smooth transition for the P4 class once Mrs McNeil goes off. This then has a knock-on effect in P6/7 as Mrs Longmuir worked alongside Mr Law and Mrs Aiton in P6/7. We know that both Mr Law and Mrs Aiton work well together and there will be minimal impact on the class as Mrs Longmuir will still have opportunities to support individual children in P6/7. Mrs Baird who has reduced her hours will now support in P6/7 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and I'm sure Mr Law and Mrs Aiton will be more than happy to welcome her in.
Mrs Baird had worked with some P4 children for maths and Literacy and we want to continue this targeted focus. With Mrs Baird reducing her hours, we now have a new teacher to the school, Mr Whitlelock, and he will now replace Mrs Baird to be able to support and challenge targeted groups in P4 and provide consistency throughout the week to ensure all pupil's reach their full potential.
This is a lot of change, but we are certain that we have come up with a robust plan to ensure all of our children's academic and social and emotional needs are met. This is something we pride ourselves on and is always our top priority. We know that you will welcome our new and returning staff positively and wish Mrs Gray and Mrs McNeil well in their maternity leaves.
P1 Enrolment
Online enrolment has started from monday 9th January 2023 and we look forward to making contact with new families. We will work closely with all nurseries to ensure a smooth transition for our new P1 intake in August. A full transition programme will be sent out to parents once we have all enrolments confirmed.
